I remember complaining about them one day to my husband and I was shocked to find out that they were the one of the things that first attracted him to me. It seems like I always find something I don't like about myself, but my husband always compliments me on all of these flaws. I like every woman looking for man of the mirror and find things wrong with me but I remember someone telling me that we are our worst critic and that's so true. Women are God's most beautiful creation. But we view each other as competition when we should be lifting each other up. I love this because it brings us together. Thank you for sharing your story!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9114610078934043743.post-66492421015283563162014-08-14T13:00:18.467-06:002014-08-14T13:00:18.467-06:00Hmmm. Sounds weird, but it makes me look skinny along my chest and shoulders and draws attention up to my face. One thing I wish I could change is how wide and low set on my legs my knees are. That also sounds weird, but I'm too self conscious to wear shorts and skirts/dresses that cut off at the knee because my legs look stubby (which doesn't help my height of 5 feet even at all!) instead of being long and skinny and bony! HOWEVER. Those knees help me live, literally. Do everything I want day to day because I can walk. They help me enjoy my favorite sport- tennis. They help me kneel down on them in prayer, which is really how I get through my days. Thanks for this follow up post Valeri. I really enjoyed it. You help me grow spiritually through your example constantly. You are wise beyond your mortal years, for sure!Shelby Kendall M.https://www.blogger.com/profile/12797270068797052500noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9114610078934043743.post-7061705675085266812014-08-14T12:48:32.632-06:002014-08-14T12:48:32.632-06:00Seriously I've loved these. I'm so hard on...Seriously I've loved these. I'm so hard on myself for both physical and emotional flaws that I 'feel' I have, while simultaneously being quick to notice all of the good and pretty characteristics others possess. I really need to work on seeing the same beauty in myself and cutting myself the same slack I do with others. I am definitely my own worst critic.
