Bayli's Party

today we had a little party celebrating Bayli's fourth birthday! we invited just a few friends and had lunch, cake, played with play-doh and opened presents. when we asked bayli a few days ago what she wanted to do for her birthday, she said have really yummy cake, make the house cute (with decorations) and play with friends. so, we tried to give her exactly that. she helped bake and decorate the cake. she was the one who told me where to put the decorations, and she came up with the guest list. we tried to do things her way, and it turned out to be really cute and fun! we will have to see if she actually remembers this one when shes older.

Everli was a champ and slept through the wholeee thing. for 5 hours.

Fledge Feet Fotographer

one of my dearest friends has started her own successful business, she is doing so well in fact that she's had to come up with some ways to lessen the load she has acquired from so much business. she and her mother came up with the design for the most awesome looking high top shoes for babies and toddlers. bayli got one of the first pairs and wore them to the ground. well, we were also the first to try out the new t-shirts that she has designed, i was lucky enough to be the photographer for bayli and her best friend eden: the beautiful blue eyed blonde who is also the daughter of the creator of the shoes, which lets you guess just how beautiful her momma is. :)

anyway, the shoot was so fun, and the t-shirts are so awesome and i just couldn't help but share some of the cute pictures!! if you'd like to purchase some t-shirts, shoes, or headbands for yourself, you can check them out on her website: fledgefeet.com

EASTER

holiday's in general are much better when shared with family and friends, and this year is no exception. a few days before Easter we went and enjoyed a scavenger hunt with our friends and their little girl who is a few months younger than Bayli. it was held in a beautiful backyard and Bayli had so much fun. last year for Easter we did something very similar, and the year before that (2012) Bayli was a newborn and we spent the day dressing her up in tutu's taking pictures, the year before that (2011) we were newlyweds and were on our flight to greece when garrison pulls out a little basket filled with candy, and plastic eggs, and even that fake grass stuff. i was soooo amazed that he packed it all away for me, and surprised me on the plane! i really have the best husband.
im off track, Easter is self explanatory, so let's just get to the pictures.

anyway, she's getting old enough that these things are becoming soooo fun. i just love holidays, i might even put up a decoration or two. but, most likely not.

some fun Easter ideas/traditions include:
Easter egg nests made from no-bake cookies and filled with cadbury mini eggs
planting a jelly bean in the dirt. (or pot inside if you don't have a yard) and in the morning a lollypop will have grown.
and more here.

and now i'm off to go make a few dozen deviled eggs for the family dinner tomorrow night.

Easter

so i know im super late to get these pictures posted but... i really don't have an excuse, i've just been focusing my time on other things. however, these pictures are just too cute not to post. and, it was such a fun day filled with good friends and sugar. oh how i have loved the fact that it is now warm enough to play outside all day and i think i've finally figured out why they call "mother nature" a mother. because she does a darn good job at raising and entertaining children. i don't need any toys or snacks to keep Bay entertained while outside, all she needs is to go and find a stick or a leaf or watch a bird in the sky and her attention is captured.

thanks mother nature, your doing this mother a great big favor. i've never loved you more.

oh. and... ^^^ that guy, no he's not peeing. he's actually searching for the last hidden easter egg. it's white, and it's to his left in the image. the guys hid it for him. it took what seemed like 1/2 an hour to find it. we played hot and cold, we told him it was in the sun, we basically pointed right at it and he still couldn't find it because they hid it in a bunch of old egg shells that they use as mulch. AWESOME.
